Booker, Nevaeh Skye

Nevaeh Skye Booker was born on March 7, 2008 in Charlotte, NC to Candice Latrice Booker and Edmond Wayne Davis (deceased). Her passing was sudden and very unexpected. While her time on Earth was cut short, she made the most of the time she had.

Nevaeh moved to Blacksburg at the young age of 1 year old and was very energetic and joyful as a child. She spent her life in Blacksburg and attended Margaret Beeks Elementary, Blacksburg Middle, and was a current freshman at Blacksburg High School. Outside of academics, she participated in boxing, enjoyed dancing, drawing, and frequently spent time with her family and friends. Nevaeh was very outgoing, made friends easily, and was accepting of everyone.

Nevaeh was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Samettra D. Tolliver and Kim M. Booker; father, Edmond W. Davis; and her uncle, Zachary A. Thompson.

Nevaeh is survived by her grandfather, Emory L. Booker; mother and stepfather, Candice L. Booker and Anthony E. Dowdy; siblings, Derek A. Davis, Naomi S. Booker, and Nadelle S. Dowdy; aunts and uncles, Tearsa Tolliver, Lindsey Thompson, Michael Thompson, Caitlin McClure, LaShania and Josiah Clinedinst, Lacey and Brandon Houston, Leslie and Travis Richards; and cousins, Culley, Cullice, Jayden, Keelynn, Mason, Odin, Camilla, Arya; and a host of many other friends and relatives.

“I am not truly gone if you keep me in your heart, I’ll forever be alive, and we’ll never have to part.”
