Bonner, Robert Andrew

Robert Andrew Bonner, 81, of Check, Virginia, passed away on February 7th, 2022. Robert was born on July 4th, 1940, to Wilfred Bonner and Leila Rehn in Junction City, Oregon. He was a proud veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps.

Upon retirement, Robert spent his time fixing anything and everything, inventing better ways to do things, restoring antique cars, continuing his education through study and lending a hand to anybody that needed it. Robert loved living in the mountainous community of Floyd County and spent many days hanging out at the Floyd General Store. He also was passionate about his volunteer work at Plenty!

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Bonner and Leila Rehn, along with his siblings, Frances, Russell, Wilfred and Patricia and his grandson Robert Kroesing. He is missed by his children, Leila (Robert) Bonner, Floy Bonner, and Sarah (Ron) Cottrell. His grandchildren, Johanna Kroesing, James Kroesing, Annelise (Jacob) Finkelstein, Joshua Drawbaugh, Olivia Bonner, Jenna Cottrell and Thomas Cottrell.

There will be a small private service with only his immediate family in attendance
