Bond, Glare Clifton

Glare Clifton Bond, 97, of Floyd, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010. He was preceded in death by parents, Stephen Douglas and Sarah Mabry Bond; wife, Ardene Mitchell Bond; brother, Graydon Bond; sisters, Bernice Bond Reed, Ava Bond Belcher.

Survivors include brother-in-law, Julian Mitchell; several nieces, nephews, and greatnieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Josh Kilbourne officiating. Interment to follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Glare’s memory to Falling Branch United Methodist Church c/o Pat Shelor, 674 Old Furnace Road, Floyd, Va. 24091. Arrangements by Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.
