Bolte, Jewell P.

Mrs. Jewell P. Bolte, of Blacksburg, Va., passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2010. Mrs. Bolte was born July 14, 1931, in Ettrick, Va., to the late William Edward Pillow and Jewell Crowder Pillow. Mrs. Bolte was predeceased by her husband, Mr. John Dietrich Bolte Sr. Mrs. Bolte is survived by her son, Keith; daughter-in-law, Paula; and grandson, Taylor, of Blacksburg; son, John; daughter-in-law, Virginia; and grandchildren, John, Nora, William, and Julia, of Craig County. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Scriver, of Colonial Heights, Va.; as well as nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mrs. Bolte graduated from Petersburg High School and later moved to Blacksburg with her husband and children where she maintained a warm and wonderful household. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 5, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home on Country Club Drive in Blacksburg. A memorial service will be held at McCoy Funeral Home on Wednesday January 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Blacksburg Volunteer Fire Department, 2700 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060.
