amem_tulips-sunshine.jpgEdna Lee Secrist Bolleter, of Lake Jackson, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Edna was born on September 28, 1927 in Yoakum, Texas. She resided in Blacksburg, Va., for 38 years. In 2003 she moved to Lake Jackson, Texas, to be cared for by her daughter, Sherri, during the remainder of her life.

During her time in Blacksburg, she spent 25 years volunteering at Montgomery Regional Hospital and served in many areas at Blacksburg United Methodist Church. She was a kind and generous person, one with a true servant’s heart.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William (Bill) Bolleter. She is survived by son, Steven Bolleter, of Callaway, Va.; daughters, Sherri Archer and husband, Barry, of Lake Jackson, Texas and Sandra Holmes and husband, Layne, of Webb City, Mo.; grandchildren, Melissa and Sean Archer, and Cristiana, Elisa and Deven Holmes.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 in Lake Jackson, Texas, at Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
