Martha Shealor Boley, 69, of McCoy, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Heritage Hall Health Care Center.

She was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on February 22, 1937 to the late Olen Lee and Florence Lillian Fagg Shealor. She was a member of the New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward Kaywood Shealor, Marshall Lee Shealor, Stanley Brown Shealor, and Floyd Olen Shealor.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy A. and Cheryl M. Boley of McCoy, Jerry Lee Boley of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters and brother-in-law, Cordie Mae Nutter of Roanoke, Edith S. and Bill Hurt of Boones Mill, Va., Jeanette S. and Conley Shelor of Sunnyside; two step grandchildren, Randall and Brandi Womack and Brandy and Adam Mills; two step great-grandchildren, Emma Mills and Kelly Mills; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall and the Carilion New River Valley Hospice, especially Claudia Jones-Lezama and Debra Hamm, and also Dr. Harry McCoy, for all their loving care.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 1, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Paul and Sister Ellen Hinlicky officiating. Interment will follow in the New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, Va. 24018 or charity of choice.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon on Thursday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
