Boland, Geraldine Burton

Geraldine Burton (Jerry) Boland, 86, of Radford, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. She was born on September 26, 1925, in Jonesborough, Tenn., to the late Ruby Gray and John William Burton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Felix L. Boland Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mike Cupp; grandson, Jonny Bowden; brothers, Claude Burton and John (Junior) Burton; and sister, Betty Burton Davis. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nyoka and Jon Albert; sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Rita Boland, and Craig and Kim Boland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and spouses, Tina and Paul Bland, Jeff and Michelle Bowden, Josh and Jessie Bowden, Matt and Kate Boland, Jodi Boland, Sumar Cupp and Mechelle Cupp; nine great-grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Matusevich, Xavier and Kingston Bland, Marissa and Julian Bowden, Tristan and Belle Bowden, and Audrey Boland; brothers and sisters- in-law, Bill and Mary Burton, and Charlie and Sandra Burton; sisters, Bea Hamlin, Helen Burton, and Lois Moore; brother-in-law, Jesse Davis; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Rockford United Methodist Church in Fairlawn with Preacher Mike and the Rev. Darlene Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Dublin, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford, Va., 540-639-2422.
