Bocock, Margaret Livesay Faivre
Margaret Livesay Faivre (Peggy) Bocock, 86, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, at her home in Radford, Va. She was born on August 28, 1923, in Rogersville, Tenn., the daughter of the late Walter J. and Elizabeth Testerman Livesay. She was a member of the Radford Christian Church where she was very active in CWF’s Bible Studies. She attended LMU and Carson Newman College, completed a two year commercial course in Harrell’s Commercial College, Rogersville, Tenn., and also refresher courses at Bristol Commercial College. She was a bookkeeper for her father at Rogersville Milling Company and a secretary at Tennessee Eastman in Kingsport, Tenn., and at Charter Federal in Bristol. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Alfred Faivre Jr.; her second husband, James Wesley Bocock; three sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include her beloved son, Henry Alfred Faivre III and his wife, Connie, of Chesapeake; a brother, Jack Livesay and his wife, Thelma, of Rogersville, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Doris Lee Golden, of Knoxville, Tenn.; four stepgrandchildren, Beki and Joey Ledford, of Lilburn, Ga., Michael and Susan Golden, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Susan and Gary Johnson, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Missy Golden, of Duluth, Ga.; and three stepgreatgrandchildren, Rachel and Willie Ledford, and Emily Golden. She is also survived by a number of much loved nieces and nephews and by many loved and quality friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Bobby Sutphin, Dr. Fred Austin, and nephew, the Rev. Sheldon Livesay officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. There will be no family visitation. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Radford Christian Church.
