Many nieces and nephews remember Aunt Polly as a caring, giving, and warm family favorite, always offering housing to them as they traveled through Montgomery County.

For many years, she served as the secretary to several principals at Christiansburg Elementary School where she freely gave hugs, smiles, and band aids to many precious children. “Miss Polly” was a faithful member of Trinity Community Church cheerfully serving in many capacities whenever needed.

A private internment with the family will take place at Roselawn Cemetary. A celebration of life begins at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Trinity Community Church, 1505 N. Franklin St., Christiansburg. Following the service, all attendees are invited to dinner, visitation, and time of sharing with the family in Trinity’s Fellowship Hall.

The family offers special thanks to Miss Polly’s caregivers for the past 10 months. Teresa, Jordan, Leeann, Haley, Beth, Michelle and Peggy will long be remembered for their love, compassion, nursing skills, and friendship.

In lieu of flowers, Miss Polly would be honored to be remembered by a contribution to Mt. Mission School, 1760 Edgewater Dr., Grundy, VA 24614-9986.
