Edith Attaway Board, 95, of Floyd, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horatio and Nancy Blackwell Board; brothers, Dewey, Herman and Parrot Board; sisters, Blanch Light, Hettie Conner, Leona Hess, Annie Lura Board and Margie Board. Survivors include her beloved sister, Jettie Board, Floyd; nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, Nancy Hess Mottesheard, Charlotte, N.C., Brenda Board Gearhart, Copper Hill, James Board, Florida, Wayne Board, Washington, Layne Board, Christiansburg, Daniel Board, Check, Allen Board, Roanoke.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. Layne Board officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Maberry Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
