Blount, John Lewis

John Lewis (Butch) Blount, 58, of Blacksburg, Va., went to be with his Father in Heaven on Saturday, September 25, 2010. He was born in Montgomery County, Va., on January 6, 1952, and was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Louise Blount; and a special aunt, Mary Blount.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Blount, of Blacksburg; sons, Michael John Blount, of Greensboro, N.C., and Marcus Richard Blount, of Northern, Va.; sister, Barbara “Bob” Wheeling, of Christiansburg; special cousin, Charlotte Hungate, of McCoy; aunt, Mary Frances Blount, of Covington; mother-in-law, Jean Harless, of Blacksburg; and his best friend, his dog, “Toto.” He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Everyone is welcome at the graveside service 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg with Father Remi Sojka and the Rev. John LeMasters officiating.
