Megan Nicole Blevins age 32, passed away on Friday April 9, 2021 at her home in Draper, VA. Megan was born on March 5, 1989 in Roanoke, VA.

She was a 2007 graduate of Giles High School, and a 2014 graduate of Radford University. She was able to pursue her passion of teaching, having majored in education. Megan taught at many elementary and middle schools across Giles, Pulaski, & Carrol Counties. She had a special love for children and thoroughly enjoyed all the students she met throughout the years. Megan was known for her love of country music. She would go out with family and friends to all the concerts she could. She also loved the outdoors. Whether it was hiking, camping, or playing with her fur babies, she was happy. She was an extremely giving person who would do without for someone in need. She was an angel on Earth and now our guardian angel in Heaven.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather Dawes Blevins, Sr.

Megan is survived by her parents Connie Smith Blevins & Dawes Blevins, Jr. of Pembroke; sister Betsy Blevins of Narrows; brother Josh Blevins & wife Hayley of Salem; grandparents Wilma Blevins of Marion, JoAnn Allen of Pulaski, Robert Smith of Dublin, and Nanny Riffey of Pulaski; half-sisters Channelle Beller & husband Jay of NV and Paige Riffey of NC. She also leaves behind her most precious nephew and niece Hunter & Lana; along with cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, special family, many friends, coworkers, and her students which she loved so much.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday April 14, 2021 at Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke with Pastor Paul Shallenburg officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-12:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 5:00PM on Wednesday at the Walls Cemetery in Grayson County.
