Blevins, Margaret Ann

Margaret Ann Blevins, 92, formerly of Pembroke and lately of Blacksburg, departed this life Tuesday morning, February 26, 2019 in the care of Showalter Health Care in Blacksburg. Born in Akron, Ohio on May 10, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Adna Margaret Hanson Frantz.

She was a Baptist by faith (member of Castle Rock Baptist Church in Pembroke), was a bookkeeper by trade, and a veteran of the US Navy (Waves) WW II.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Phyllis Johnson, her brother Bob Frantz, her sisters Nina Mervine and Marilyn Miller.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of over sixty-five years Paul H. Blevins; her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Rita Blevins of Greenville, TN; her daughters Beth Fullington of Englewood, Ohio and Jackie Blevins of Pearisburg; her nine grandchildren; her twenty great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandchild; her sister Beverly Freshwater of Streetboro, Ohio; and a devoted collection of friends from all the places where they lived.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 1, 2019, at 11:00 am in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. .
