Blevins, Calvin Elwood

Calvin Elwood (Woody) Blevins, 59, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 12, 2006 from Lewis-Gale Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice Long Blevins; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and JC Grubb, Christiansburg; son and daughter-in-law, Mark Albert and Joyce Blevins, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Courtney Grubb, Emily Blevins and Nicholas Blevins, all of Christiansburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and James Nuckols, Dublin; mother-in-law, Mary Long, Christiansburg; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Wayne Akers, Christiansburg, Sandra and Phillip Hawks, Dublin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held at Horne Funeral Service from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006. Funeral services will be at the Horne Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2006 with Pastor Stan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
