Blankenship, Sandra Jane Jessie

Sandra Jane Jessie Blankenship, 62, of Christiansburg, Va., died on Monday, October 5, 2009. She was a daughter of the late William Jessie and Jeanette Lane. She was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Elswick.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Blankenship Jr. of Christiansburg, Va.; daughters, Sherry Horn and Tammy Blankenship, of Richlands, Va., stepmother, Pearl Jessie, of Pulaski, Va.; brothers, Roger Jessie and his wife, Janice, of Christiansburg, Va., Don Jessie and wife, Peggy, of Pulaski, Va., and Michael Jessie and his wife, Suzette, of Wytheville, Va.; sisters, Theresa Ososki and her husband, John, of Livonia, Mich., Linda and her husband, Michael Coleman, of Richlands, Connie Stilwell, Genny Rose, and Gearldine Hampton, also of Richlands; three aunts, Lula, Ruby and Millie, all of Mt. Clemens, Mich. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Horne Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
