Blankenship, Rowena Wyatt

Rowena Wyatt Blankenship, 85, of Rich Creek, Va., died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, in the Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg, Va. She was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Pipestem, W.Va., the daughter of the late Albert Hill and Addie Bower Hill.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Howard Wyatt; daughter Joyce Petty; two sisters; and two brothers. Mrs. Blankenship was a member of Abundant Life Ministries, Pulaski, Va.

Surviving are daughter Glenna W. Garlick; sons and daughter-in-law Delmer and Rosetta Wyatt, and Albert Monroe Wyatt; sisters Ethel, Sadie, Ruth, Mary Ellen and Adilee; brother Wilson Hill; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Abundant Life Ministries, with Rev. Randall Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour at the church where the family will receive friends.
