Blankenship, Phyllis Mae
Phyllis Mae Blankenship, 64, of Ballard, W.Va. and formerly of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg.
She was born in Giles County on June 1, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Jessie Davis and Lillie Mae Clark Blankenship. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Blankenship; a grandson, Zachary Blankenship; and a brother, Michael Blankenship.
She was a faithful member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows, and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by two sons, Rocky Allen Blankenship, of Pembroke, and Terry “Buck” Blankenship and wife, Tammy, of Ballard; three grandchildren, Holly Blankenship, Hunter Blankenship and Garrett Blankenship; five brothers, Claude Blankenship, of Pearisburg, Curtis Blankenship, of Princeton, Dewey Blankenship and wife, Barbara, of Narrows, Wayne Blankenship of Pipestem, W.Va., and Roger Blankenship and wife, Loretta, of Pearisburg; two sisters, Debbie Webb, of Pembroke, and Linda Sparks, of Narrows; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows with the Rev. John Jenkins and the Rev. Millie Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Lindside, W.Va.
