Blankenship, Leland Iris

Leland Iris Blankenship, 80, of Glen Lyn, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 29, 2007 at Princeton Community Hospital. He was born in Mercer County, W.Va. on April 2, 1927 and was the son of the late Charles Gillespie and Fairy Daisy Mae Meadows Blankenship.

Leland was the most precious father to all of his children, raising his children by himself.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating.
