Blankenship, Gary Wayne
Gary Wayne Blankenship, 48, of Rich Creek passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, November 6th, 2008. A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born in Pearisburg on November 4th, 1960 and was the son of the late Howard McKinley Blankenship and Virginia Wilson Robertson. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Lynn Blankenship.
He was a former employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows with over 25 years service. He’ll best be remembered for his love, always willing to help family and friends at any time.
He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Tiffany and Brandon St. Clair of Narrows; a brother and his wife, Marcus and Wendy Blankenship of Duluth Minnesota; a stepmother, Doris Blankenship of Peterstown; a stepfather, Clarence Robertson of Narrows; a nephew, Joshua Blankenship; a niece and her husband, Amber and Christopher Burch; a great niece, Brooklyn Burch; a great nephew, Tiegan Burch, all of Duluth, Minnesota. He’ll be sadly missed by many family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 from 5 to 7 PM. At the request of the family, there will be no public viewing.
