Blankenship, Doris Gaynette

Doris Gaynette Blankenship, age 80, of Peterstown, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. Born September 12, 1938, in Narrows, VA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and India Comer Warner.

Doris was a former employee of Celanese and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Narrows, VA. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Blankenship; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, Travis Blankenship of Peterstown, WV; one sister, Ruby Cruise and husband Claude of Bluefield, VA; five grandchildren, Bridget, Jason, Brittani, Brooke, and Zayne; and four great grandchildren, Ethan, Conner, Seth, and Remmington.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Narrows, VA, with Pastor Michael Biggs officiating.
