Blankenship, Dianne Lynn

Dianne Lynn Blankenship, 53, of Pembroke, departed this life on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. She was born in Annapolis, Md., on December 31, 1957. Dianne was employed at Virginia Tech as a Senior Administrative Assistant and had belonged to the Pearisburg Moose Lodge. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Walker Shrader; her stepfather, Bob Shrader; her husband, Sherman Fisher; and her stepsons, Greg and Wayne Fisher. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son and his fiancée, B. Cory Fisher and Kim Brown, of Arlington, Va.; her stepdaughter, Teri Fisher and Wayne Munsey, of Pearisburg; her stepdaughter, Danielle East; her companion for the last nine years, Daniel Burleson, of Pembroke; and a special cousin, Elaine O’Connor, of Royal Palm Beach, Fla. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011, in Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
