Joe Ann Bland, 84, of Shawsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Bland; son, James Anthony ‘Tony’ Bland; father, John Sowder; mother, Jo Ora Sowder; and daughter-in-law, Betty Bland. Joe Ann is survived by her son, Terry Bland; grandchildren, Jessica Bland, Matt Peyton, Steff Davis; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Darrell Linkous officiating. Interment will be private.
