Bland, Hazel Bell

Hazel Bell Bland, 91 of Blacksburg and formerly of Roanoke, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Bland; sons, Tommy Bland and Randy Bland; and grandson, Dwayne Bland. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Bland, of Texas and James (Jim) Bland and wife Krysti, of Michigan; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Bland, of Christiansburg; special niece, Emma Poff; a very special nephew, Calvin Dove and wife Darlene; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at Commonwealth Senior Living and to Carilion Hospice.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Monday before the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
