Blackwell, Mary Flinchum

Mary Ruth Flinchum Blackwell, age 92, of Pilot, Va, passed away from Covid, Monday, February 14, 2022. She was born March 20, 1929 in Pilot, Va to the late Posey and Annie Goins Flinchum. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Blackwell.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sue Blackwell, also of Pilot along with various nephews and nieces. Ruth enjoyed talking to her sweet friends everyday on the phone. She loved her dog “Rosie” and they never left each other’s side. She loved to go visiting and shopping with her daughter-in-law. She was a people person and loved to visit and talk. She loved going to church before being unable to go.

There will be no funeral per Ruth’s request and due to Covid. We know Daniel and Ruth are reunited in Heaven- May they rest in Peace. Arrangements by McCoy’s Funeral Home.
