Black, Tamara Cooke

Dr. Tamara Dawn Cooke Black, age 58 of Wytheville, died Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Carillion New River Valley Medical Center. She was born on June 2, 1963 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Shirley Claudine Craig Cooke, and John Daniel Cooke.

Dr. Black was an Oral Surgeon and worked in the New River Valley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Tracy Cooke. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rodney Edward Black, and a sister, Regina C. (Joey) Quesenberry of Pulaski.

Per Dr. Black’s request, she has been cremated. A service will be planned for a later date.
