Black, Sydney Taylor

Sydney Taylor Black, 6, of Bristol, Tenn., died Friday, May 9, 2008. She was born May 1, 2002, in Fairfax, Va. She was preceded in death by two great-grandfathers, John T. Black and Sidney Cohen.

She is survived by her father, Timothy Randall Black, of Dumfries, Va.; grandparents, Jack and Sharon Black, of Dublin;  great-grandmothers, Delmer K. Black and Charlotte Turman, both of Pulaski, and Opal Brewster, of War, W.Va.; a special auntie, Missy Custer and her husband, Jeff; and their daughter, Ashley, of Dumfries, Va.; great-uncles, Jerry Black, of Pulaski, and David Black, of Wilmington, N.C., Richard Allen and his wife. Marina; and their son, Lamont Allen; along with his children, Alexis and Alysia Allen, of Reno, Nev.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons. Interment will be private in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be anytime on Thursday, May 15, 2008, after 4 p.m. at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
