Black, Mcshell A.

Mcshell A. (Shell) Black, 51, of Dublin, VA, passed away on April 27th, 2015 after fighting a four year battle with lung cancer through it all she never complained and always kept a smile on her face.

Mcshell was born in Pulaski, VA to Harvey Black, Sr. and Yvonne Black on September 25th, 1963. She graduated from Pulaski County High School in Dublin, VA. She worked as a machine operator at Mar-Bal Inc. in Dublin, VA for several years. She enjoyed all of her many trips taken from concerts to the beach she was always on the go and loved to spend time doing things with her grandbabies.

Mcshell in now having a reunion in heaven with her parents and sister, Monica Black as well as brother-in-law, Ronnie Godfrey.

Mcshell is survived by her daughter, Cambria and son-in-law, Richard Hayden; grandbabies, Demarcus, Christopher, and Evonia Hayden, all of Radford; brothers, Joel Black, of Pulaski, Harvey Black, Jr., (Mary), of Dublin; sisters, Debra Godfrey, of Christiansburg, Donna Smith, of Dublin, and Vanessa Black, of Pulaski, and a special friend, Gregory Johnson

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Christiansburg, Southern Care Hospice, Roanoke, VA, and to all the family and friends who have been there during our time of need.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church, Magazine, Pulaski, VA with Rev. Douglas Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Pinehurst Cemetery, Pulaski. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
