Black, Donata Barile

Donata (Anna) Barile Black, 93, of Radford and previously of Bridgeton, N.J., died Sunday, March 9, 2008, in Wheatland Hills Retirement Center.

She was born December 10, 1914,in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clemente and Angelina Barile. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Domenic and Lena Barile, of Bridgeton, N.J.; and an infant daughter, Lorraine Black.

Surviving are a daughter, Lorraine Moore, of Roanoke; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Paul Mannon, of Radford; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Resurrection Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, with Father Ken Shuping officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bridgeton, N.J. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at St. Jude’s Church.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Carilion Hospice, Wheatland Hills Retirement Center and Dr. Alan Tauro and his staff for their care, compassion and concern for Mrs. Black.
