Black, Delma Laura

Delma Laura Black, age 87 of Pulaski, died Saturday evening, January 9, 2016 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. She was born on December 21, 1928 in Christansburg, and was the daughter of the late Flora Henley Kesling and Lawrence W. Kesling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; John Thomas Black, a sister, Katherine Bolling and a great-granddaughter, Sydney Black.

She is survived by three sons; Jack Lee Black and his wife Sharon of Dublin, David Gordon Black and his wife Charlie Mae of Wilmington, NC, and Jerry Randall Black of Pulaski: a brother; Duane Kesling and his wife Hazel of Pulaski: three grandchildren; Timothy R. Black, Michelle R. Custer, and John R. Black: three great-grandchildren; Ashley Custer, Avery Quinn Black, and Casey Shay Black, along with many nieces and nephews and a special friends, Maryanne Tyree, and Frances Clark.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. The family will have a private burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
