Bivans, Karen Phillips

Karen Diane Bivans of Jensen Beach, Florida went home to be with her Lord on 30 August 2021. She was born 15 November 1946 in Pulaski Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lattie Phillips of Draper Virginia, her brother, Larry Phillips of Danville Virginia, and husband Robert Bivans of Jensen Beach Florida.

She is survived by her children, Theodore Cox of New Orleans,  Louisiana, Kelli and husband Mike Clayton of Pulaski, Virginia, Melissa and husband Tony Petersen of Bloomington, Illinois, and Michael and wife Kelly Frederick of Naperville, Illinois.  She is survived by her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  She is survived by her sister-in-law Anne Phillips of Danville, Virginia and nephew Larry Phillips II and wife Linda Kaye of North Myrtle Beach South Carolina and Linda Anne Pennington of Danville and one great nephew, one great-niece, and one great-great nephew.

Karen loved to laugh and be surrounded by people. She loved her cross stitching, planning parties, and celebrations of any kind. She was a proud Dublin High School graduate and loved her home state of Virginia.  Her children will celebrate her life and spread her ashes where she requested, in the mountains of Virginia in the springtime.
