Bishop, Rosa Lee

Rosa Lee Bishop, 80, of Christiansburg, formerly of Floyd County, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015. She is preceded in death by husband, Thomas Glenward Bishop; parents, Cora Lee Duncan and John Davis Lester; brothers, Elmer “Cecil” Lester and James “Kenney” Lester; and sister, Betty Bishop.

She is survived by brother, Davis “Junior” Lester (Betty Jo); sisters, Goldie Nester (Roy), Judy Thurman (James); nieces and nephews, Kathy Bishop, Randy Bishop, and numerous others; sisters-in-law, Peggy Lester and Marie Lester; brother-in-law, Bobby Bishop.

Special thanks to members of the New Hope Church of God, along with particular special thanks to Roxanne Bond and daughter Jessica who helped with her care. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, at New Hope Church of God. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Bond officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
