Bishop, Pauline Doyle

Pauline Doyle Bishop, 97, of Peterstown, WV passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born August 8, 1918 at Bluefield, WV she was the daughter of the late Everette and Stella Mae Hager Doyle.

Pauline was retired from the Celanese Corp. with over 26 years of service. She was a member of the Peterstown United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin Bishop in 2003, grandson, Ronald E. Bishop and brother, Walter “Buddy John” Doyle. Survivors include: son, David Bishop and wife Susie of Peterstown, WV; daughter, Mary Gallagher and husband Tom of Scott Depot, WV; grandchildren, Jason Bishop and wife Courtnee of Roanoke, VA, David Gallagher and wife Beverly of Springfield, VA and Amy VanVerth and husband John of Mason, OH; great grandchildren, Caden and Lauren Gallagher, Will and Allie VanVerth and Abby and Claire Bishop. Special caregivers: Tammy Spicer, Debbie Bradley, Lisa Wallace, and Keisha Cecil. Her caring hospice friends Melissa, Tammy and Kristi and the rest of the Hospice and Peyton House crew.

Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, WV with Pastor Ralph Calfee officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park, Princeton, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
