Bishop, Lorinia Mae Mullins

Lorinia Mae Mullins Bishop, 58 of Narrows, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away Friday, September 8th, 2006 following a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on June 25th, 1948 to the late Elmo and Arretta Mullins. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Sullivan, and a granddaughter, Justine Walker.

She grew up in Davy, West Virginia, but spent the last years of her life in Narrows, where she loved the mountains and streams near her home.

Lorinia was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Junior Bishop; one son, Richard Walker of North Carolina; a daughter, Krystal Letner of Davy, West Virginia; three stepdaughters, Freda, Sherry and Wanda; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; seven brothers, George Key, Marvin Mullins, Arthur Mullins, Frank Mullins, Larry Mullins, James Mullins, Pete Mullins; and two sisters, Betty Turko and Gloria Martin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, September 10th, 2006 at 1 PM at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows with Rev. Bill Sleasman officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation, but flowers will be accepted at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Saturday and Sunday prior to the service.
