BISHOP, James Howard

James Howard (Pete), 73, of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006.

He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was an employee of Lynchburg Foundry.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Sally Bishop; son, Robby Bishop; daughters, Billie Cox, Bea Bishop, Becky Bishop and Bobbie Simpkins; 18 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; one brother, Donald Bishop; two sisters, Mary Ann Brache and Flora Rigney.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post #1184. The Bishop Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, 382-2612.
