Bennett, Donald Grey

Donald Grey Bennett, 80, of Peterstown, WV passed away, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg, VA. Born November 13, 1935 at Alderson, WV he was the son of the late Hubert and Nella Stanley Bennett. Don loved to play music and hunt. He was a past member of the Rich Creek Lions Club.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Bennett and one sister, Euna Sherwood. Survivors include his loving companion of 16 years, Linda Wills Meadows, sons, Donald Lee Bennett and Donald Gene Bennett, special son, Chris Godsey and wife Barbara of Peterstown, WV, daughters, Peggy Sue Hurst, Lori Kaun of Kimball, WV, special daughters, Trish Beasley and husband Kenny of Peterstown, WV and Donna Jones and husband Mark of Peterstown, WV, brother, Lester Bennett and wife Mary Ann of Washington, sister, Frances Bradley and husband Eugene of Gaithersburg, MD, grandchildren, Cody Kaun, Tanner, Jesse and Evan Beasley, Patrick Broyles and wife April and Rachel Godsey, great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Britton, Branson and Baylee Broyles, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, WV with Pete Dunford officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterstown Cemetery, Giles County, VA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Monday at the funeral home.
