Benefield, Duane Wilson

Duane Wilson Benefield, 44, of Dublin, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Born August 4, 1963 in Columbus, Georgia, he is the son of Marcella L. Bradley Benefield and the late Jack Ellis Benefield. He was the manager at the Rent-A-Center in Christiansburg. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Surviving are his mother, Marcelle Bradley Benefield, Dublin; his daughter, Kelly Jean Lester, Anderson Creek, N.C.; one grandson, Quinton Lester; stepdaughter, Stephanie; and stepson, Joey; four stepgrandchildren, Destiny White, Hannah Saul, Hailey and Vella Carlile; brother, Johnny Ray Benefield, Dublin; sister, Eva Marie Haire, Erwin, N.C.; dear friend, Nikki Buckner, Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
