Bemis, Marion Louis

Marion Louis Bemis, age 93, of Blacksburg died, Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Kroontje Health Care Center. She was born in Ankeny, Iowa on January 12, 1921 to the late Paul R. and Beulah Foust Bemis. She traveled all over the world and was a travel agent with Travel and Transport in Ames, Iowa. After moving to Blacksburg in 1984 she became an active member in the Blacksburg United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sister, Pauline “Polly” Williamson of Blacksburg; her niece and nephew, Margaret Williamson of Rock Hill, SC and Chris Williamson of Chester, VA. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg United Methodist Church, PO Box 931, Blacksburg, VA 24063.
