Bell, Roger Brandon
Roger Brandon Bell, 30, of Christiansburg, formerly of Pulaski, passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at his Christiansburg residence.
He was born August 3, 1976 in Radford, Va. and is the son of Jane Morehead Bell and Roger R. Bell. A graduate of Radford University in 2001 and 2003, he earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and social work. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Blacksburg and served as advisor to Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity at Radford University. An inspiration to everyone he met, he will be remembered by his sense of humor, his love of life and compassion for people.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Pattie Morehead of Pulaski and Louise and Roger Bell of Havelock, N.C.; his special great aunt and uncle, Hazel and Haps Sizer of Pulaski; his cousin, James A. Bell of Havelock; and his beloved pets, English Springer Spaniels, Blackie and Sweet Baby.
He is survived by his parents, Roger R. and Jane M. Bell of Pulaski; his aunts and uncles include, Arland and Jane Bell, Gene and Suzanne Bell, and Wistar Bell, all of Havelock, and Talitha and Tommy Boyd of Charleston, S.C. He is also survived by many cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Pulaski at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. in the church parlor prior to the service. He will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery beside his grandparents.
