Gerald Leonard Bell, 66, of Dublin, Va., passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2007. Born November 5, 1940 in Ivanhoe, Va., he was the son of the late Roy Bell and Lois Winesette Bell.

Mr. Bell was a member of the Highland Park Community Church, Dublin. He was retired from the Lynchburg Foundry with over 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Edna Haynes Bell of Dublin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Steve Owens of Dublin and Stacy and Chris DeBella of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Joshua Owens, Haley Owens and Arianna DeBella; sister, Doris Gravley of Lenoir, N.C.; brothers and sister-in-law, Walter C. and June Bell of Pulaski and Clayton Bell of Fries, Va.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Michael Blouse officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin with full military honors conducted by the Pulaski VFW Post #1184.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, November 3, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in his memory may be sent to the Highland Park Community Church, 6144 Wright Ave., Dublin, Va. 24084.
