Belcher, Virginia Marie

Virginia Marie Belcher, 69, of Pearisburg, departed this life Thursday afternoon, April 18, 2013, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital,in Roanoke, after a short illness. Born in Upper Marlboro, Md. on January 14, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Annie Virginia Dean. Virginia was retired from Carilion Giles Community Hospital, in Pearisburg as a CNA and was a member of the Newport Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxillary. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 12 years, Buford (Boots) Belcher; her stepdaughter Elizabeth (Steven) Baxter, of Radford; her grandson, Ryan Baxter; a daughter; her sister-in-law, Annell Belcher Nagy, of Sebring, Fla.; her cousin Juanita Elmore, of Sebring, Fla.; her maternal aunt Alice Sweeney, of Maryland. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with the Rev. Aubrey Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
