Belcher, Paul Lucas

Paul Lucas Belcher, 75, of Meadows of Dan, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008.

He served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Della Belcher.

Survivors include his wife, Jean H. Belcher, Meadows of Dan; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Paul Dewell, Raleigh, N.C., Kimberly and Dr. George Craft, II, Winchester, Leigh Belcher, Willis; stepsons and wives, Cameron and Linda McPeak, Woolwine, Bobby and Jearie McPeak, Timothy and Sherry McPeak, Stuart; brothers and sister-in-law, “Jim” Weldon and Mary Belcher, Meadows of Dan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Alfred Crews, Basset, Louise Frazier, Clara and Otis Puckett, Connie Nester, all of Meadows of Dan, Mabel and Douglas Puckett, Martinsville; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. Marcus Wood officiating. Burial will be in the Belcher-Conner Cemetery, with military honors by Patrick County Memorial Honor Guard. Visitation will be 12 noon until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
