Belcher, Dale F.

Dale F. Belcher, age 83, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at his home in Peterstown, WV. Born August 7, 1939, in Monroe County, WV, he was the son of the late Dewey F. and Virginia Ellison Belcher.

Dale was a member of the Ballard Baptist Church and a former member and deacon at the Peterstown Missionary Baptist Church. He worked as an engineer at Celanese for 35 years. He was a 50-year member of the Peterstown John Dove Lodge #78 A.F. & A.M. and a former member of the Peterstown Ruritan. Additionally, he was a founding member of the Peterstown Little League and coached Little League, American Legion, and Pony League baseball. He loved antique cars, was avid outdoorsman, and a proud West Virginian who loved his home state dearly. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother who loved his family.

Those left to cherish Dale’s memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Doris Poff Belcher; one son, Kevin Belcher and wife Jennifer of Peterstown, WV; one daughter, Debbie Page and husband Tony of Peterstown, WV; one brother, Wayne Belcher of New Castle, VA; four grandchildren, Victoria, Chase, and Whitney Belcher, and Ryan Page and wife Savanna; and one great grandchild, Braylee Page.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Tim Sanderson and Pastor Jon Jennings officiating. Burial will follow at the Orchard Cemetery in Ballard, WV. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
