Bedwell, Reece Steve

Reece Steve Bedwell, of Blacksburg, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. He was born April 19, 1960. Steve graduated from Blacksburg High School and obtained his CDL. Steve drove for Mayflower, worked for Adams Construction and the Town of Christiansburg. Steve also worked for Harvey’s Chevrolet. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed anything and everything about the outdoors. Steve enjoyed going to races and spending time with his granddaughters, great nieces and great nephew.

Steve is survived by his mother, Bee Bedwell of Blacksburg, son, R. David Bedwell, granddaughter, Skyler, of Blacksburg, stepson, Tony and Paige and their two daughters, Reese and Tegan, of Staunton, sister, Karen and Mack Brown, niece, Jada Brown, great nieces, Tatiana and Lilia, great nephew, Macsen, aunt, Donna Oliver, cousins, Brian and Darron Oliver and their families, very special friend, Angela Sult, all of Blacksburg.

He is preceded in death by his father, Reece Bedwell and niece, Renee` Brown, uncle, Freddie Oliver. Services will be held privately. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2022 at McCoy Funeral Home150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg. The family requests everyone to wear a mask.
