Beckelhimer, Edna Link

May 7, 1924 ~ April 7, 2009 Edna Link Beckelhimer, 84, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, of Salem, Va., was born May 7, 1924, and went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. The daughter of the late Roscoe and Audrey Hall Link, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard Link, of Pilot, Va., Robert Link, of Check, Va., and Jerry Link, of Salem, Va.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alvis Beckelhimer and Patricia Champaign, of Roanoke; and daughters, Linda J. Beckelhimer, of Salem, and Wilma Simmons, of Salem, Va. She is also survived by her grandson, Eric Beckelhimer, of Roanoke, Va.; brother, Percy Link, of Radford, Va.; and her sister-in-law, Helen Link, of Check, Va.

She was a member of Hollins Church of the Nazarene in Roanoke.

The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009, in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lynn Riddle officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery in Floyd, County.
