Beasley, Mary Funkhouser

Mary Funkhouser Beasley, 71, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney Eugene and Connie Roop Funkhouser and her husband, Richard Robert Beasley. Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-law, Michael R. Beasley and friend, Leona Turner, of Floyd, Mark R. Beasley and friend, Dreama Rhodes, of Christiansburg; Kenneth E. and Melissa Beasley, of Riner; six grandchildren; one stepgrandson; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephew. Special thanks to nieces Debby Wolfe, Rebekah Nottingham and Cadyce McCann. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Snider officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
