Basham, Marshall Hartman

Marshall Hartman (Pat) Basham, 47, of Radford, and Princeton, W.Va., died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his residence. Born November 16, 1963 in Bluefield, he was the son of William Marshall Basham of Chattaroy, W.Va. and the late Lois Covill Basham.

Pat was retired from Federal Mogul in Blacksburg and formerly employed at Harvey Chevrolet in Radford. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son, William Evan Basham of Wise, Va.; one brother, Robert B. Basham and wife, Cheryl of Wise, Va.; one nephew, Robert E. Basham of Wise, Va.; stepmother, Betty Basham of Chattaroy, W.Va.; one step sister, Jan Smith; and three step brothers, Tim Smith, Jim Smith, and Chris Smith.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, his body has been cremated. A private family memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
