Basham, Brenda Akers

Brenda Akers Basham, 76, of Shawsville, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lucille; sister, Fran; and grandson, Mark Thomas.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul Basham; children, Edwina Basham Viar (Garry Allen Viar), John Basham (Sheila), Paul Basham, II; grandchildren, TJ Thomas John Beche, Robert Michael Beche (Sharon), Garry Allen Viar, Jr. (Kaelin), Sarah Gayle Viar, James Michael Basham (Danielle), Trevor Thomas Basham (Michelle), and Brian Seth Basham; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann, Sherry, and Jackie McGuyer; and step-mom, Jeanette.

Brenda will be remembered for her big heart, her strength, and her yummy biscuits. She loved hummingbirds and dogs and had a laugh that was contagious. She will be so missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
