Bartelmehs, Richard Ray

Richard Ray (Bart) Bartelmehs, 73, of 1152 Windsor Avenue, Pulaski, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008, in the St. Davids Hospital, in Austin, Texas. He was born in Mankato, Minn. on December 17, 1935, and was the son of the late Raymond B. Bartelmehs and Hesper Bartelmehs. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judith Marie Bartelmehs. He was a retired computer programmer analyst with the Department of the Army and he was a Master Mason of the Henry Clay Lodge #280, a member of the Blue Knights Virginia Chapter XV and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski. Surviving are his son, Kurt Lane Bartelmehs, Austin, Texas; and longtime friend and companion, Mary Roop, Pulaski. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Monday from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
