Barnhart, Melissa Kloss

Melissa M. Barnhart, 82 of Christiansburg, passed away June 11, 2023. She was preceded in death by her very special grandparents, Helen and Douglas Kloss; father, Donald Kloss; mother, Virginia Ross Kloss; stepmother, Katie Kloss; and her brother, Donald Kloss, Jr.

Missy is survived by her husband, Thomas Barnhart; daughter, Bridget Opazo; son, Patrick Barnhart (Shay); grandchildren, Julio Dani Opazo (Lauren), Alex Opazo, Gracie Opazo; and sister, Carole Moschella.

Missy was a quilter through and through and authored a book entitled “Binding Ties”. She was an extremely kind, positive, and supportive person and will be missed.

Interment will be private in Sunset Cemetery.
