Barnette, Lelia Boardwine

Lelia Mae Boardwine Barnette, age 93 of Pulaski, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 in the Highland Ridge Rehab Center, Dublin. Born March 20, 1920 in Russell County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Estel and Maggie Boardwine.

Her husband, Glenn Harold Barnette; a son, Larry Barnette, five brothers, and one sister also preceded her in death.

She was retired from Dublin Garment Company.

Surviving- Children: Jimmy Harold Barnette and wife, Brenda-Dublin, Bonnie Sue Werner-Bluefield, Virginia, Gayle Buchanan and husband, Steve- Pulaski, Five grandchildren- Alisa Lynn Barnette, Timmy Harold Barnette and wife, Cindy; Kimberly Haynes and husband, Robert; Darrell Werner, Tony Buchanan and Angie. Six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Sisters: Mary Lou McClain and husband, Jim- Nanticoke, MD., Merlene Marshall- Richlands, VA.

Funeral services will be Monday 2:00 p.m., December 30, 2013 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at Bower Funeral Home.
